I completed a fall tune up on an Armstong gas furnace. I visually inspected the unit. Checked voltages, amps and pressures. The inducer motor capacitor was low. I gave the client an estimate to replace. Client authorized repairs. I replaced the inducer motor capacitor. Completed combustion analysis. I found that the flue was leaking. I re-sealed at the joints. Cycled and monitored system. Operating normally at this time.

I completed a diagnostic on a Trane gas furnace. There was an error code for no call for heat. Determined that the flame sensor was dirty. I cleaned the flame sensor. The blower motor capacitor is weak. Cycled the unit multiple times with no issues. I gave the client an estimate to replace the blower motor capacitor. Client declined to replace the capacitor at this time. I recommend that if the intermittent issue continues that it is possible that it is the thermostat or the control board. I recommend that the thermostat be replaced first if issues continue. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.

I completed a diagnostic on a Payne heat pump with a Carrier electric furnace. Determined that the blower motor is beginning to fail, the blower motor capacitor is weak. The heat kit is incorrectly wired and failing. The heat pump is low on refrigerant and could possibly have a leak. I gave the client an estimate for repairs. I recommend that due to the age, condition and cost of repairs that the unit be replaced.

Return Service for a Goodman gas furnace. I replaced the main circuit control board and the pressure switch. Cycled and monitored the unit. I determined that the blower motor capacitor is weak and that the ignitor is failing. Client authorized replacing the ignitor. Parts to be ordered. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
